The Week of October 8 - October 12
Monday, October 8th - "Family Matters" Picnic:
.
Today we had Skeeter the Clown perform for the entire school early that morning:
Watch the YouTube video clip!
Of course, we took the kids to PE, and the first-graders got to take part in an obstacle course, which was set up nicely-
Then the kids had a cookie break!
Then this evening we held our Family Matters Picnic and Book Fair. This was a program where the faculty and staff held a hot-dog picnic for the parents and students and their families. Plus, there were other fun activities such as a face-painting booth and a Halloween area for picture-taking and playing. We also held a book fair in the library where all sorts of items were sold (besides books, there were posters, pencils and pens, erasers, book markers, and some activity sets). I got to work in the book fair helping to sell the items and basically bag the items for the parents and their kids. No, I didn't work the cash register- that went out back at Burger King :-)
A great and fun time was enjoyed by all!
