Today was the Vocabulary Parade-
Announcement:
Vocabulary Parade- Friday, October 26th at 8:30 am ( parents stay outside). Have ALL kids in your own hallway starting at 8:20. This will give us an opportunity to preview all the other students before the parade starts. Route: Come out of the yellow hall, walk around the green top and in front of the school and down the walk by the cafeteria. Go in the cafeteria door, stop on stage for a group picture go back to the classroom. Kindergarten will start the parade and walk down the blue hall and then the yellow hall to start the parade.
Each student (and teacher) had to dress up in a costume which defined or was the vocabulary word itself. For example, "politician", "Contagious", and "pirate" were words where the students dressed the part of a politician or a pirate, or they looked and dressed sickly (meaning of contagious).
My class had words that were pirate-themed, so we were dressed up as pirates, or anything that had to do with a pirate. My co-worker was dressed as a treasure chest.
I was wearing a shark mask, so therefore I was a shark.
Yes, that's me standing there with my mouth wide open-
