Friday, September 7 - Grandparents Day

The week of September 3rd started with a holiday- Labor Day

...where I did more work at home than I do at work-

And ended with......Grandparents' Day!

Wednesday 9/5/18
Today we did our circle time, where we emphasized the new month being SEPTEMBER (My FAVORITE MONTH of the YEAR)

Then, we did a worksheet with the letter "E" and some "eyes"

As I've stated, I have recess duty with the first graders (and a couple of 1st graders in particular), and so I decided to show them having fun (without them hitting me with blocks, which is what some of them usually like doing)

Thursday, September 8-

Today was just a normal day-  Showing pictures of our hallway work and displays-

Recess time and playground time-

Afterwards, time for a drink of water-

Then we did a picture of an aquarium-

Friday, September 9: Grandparents' Day at TPS

This morning the class had a visit from one of the Tatum HS cheerleaders!

After recess, the class had their normal water break...

...then we worked on the letter "F"-

And then it was time to celebrate Grandparents' Day in the cafeteria-

Grandparents of the students came and had lunch with their grandchildren-

And of course, I got to have lunch with my grandkids! :-)

And then it finally rained!

Friday, August 31 - This Week In Pictures

I decided to do a "This Week In Pictures" post-

Here we go:

Monday, August 27:
Today we worked on the letter "A". We did a worksheet where we used an apple to paint another "apple" (on a worksheet).

Tuesday, August 28:

Today we did some more work, chilled out on the playground (well, more like "burned" or "roasted" out on the playground, and finalized our schedules and routines for the upcoming weeks-

Wednesday, August 29:

We did some more work on the letter "C" and went outside during recess-

I wish it would rain-

Not happening (no rain)

Thursday, August 30:

The highlight of the day was going out on the hot playground for recess- lol

Friday, August 31:

Today we worked on the letter "D". We did an activity outside involving the letter "D" and a little Dirt-

Then we went inside and did another "D" worksheet, and we had some Donuts-

Then we had recess on the front (green) playground, which had an even HIGHER playtower for me to climb up into-

I'm a kid again!
